Picture the scene: you and your best friends sailing off the coast of Alicante, the sun sinking into the water, soft music playing, a glass of tinto de verano in your hand and the bride-to-be about to close her single chapter with the best party of her life. This isn't a dream — it's what happens every week on our sailing yacht Peggy.

A bachelorette party on a boat in Alicante is much more than an original plan. It's an experience that combines sun, sea, party and those laughs that only come out when you're with your lifelong crew in a place where nobody can interrupt you. No rigid schedules, no booked tables, no watching the clock. Just you, the Mediterranean and a day the bride will remember forever.

Why Alicante is the perfect destination for a bachelorette on a boat

Alicante has something few destinations can offer: over 300 days of sun a year, a coastline full of hidden coves and a sea that looks like a swimming pool from April to October. It's no coincidence that it's one of the most sought-after destinations for bachelorette and bachelor parties in Spain.

From the Real Club de Regatas marina, right in the city centre, you sail out and within minutes you're facing coves like Postiguet, Almadraba or the San Juan beaches. If you want a longer plan, Tabarca Island is the star destination: crystal-clear waters, snorkelling among fish and a meal in one of the island's restaurants that closes the day perfectly. If you want to dig deeper into this route, we have a complete guide to the one-day boat trip to Tabarca.

And best of all: when you return to the port you're literally in the centre of Alicante, ready to keep the party going on land if you still have energy.

Sailing options: choose the plan that fits your group

Every group is different. That's why we offer several options so the bachelorette adapts to what you actually want:

Half day (4 hours) — The classic that never fails

Time slots: 10:00–14:00 (morning) or 15:00–19:00 (afternoon)

Four hours sailing the coves closest to the port. Plenty of time to anchor in a cove, swim, paddle surf, play music and enjoy the open bar. The afternoon slot is the favourite for bachelorettes because it lets you prep the boat decoration before setting sail and then keep the party going over dinner in Alicante.

Six hours — For those who want more

Time slot: 15:00–21:00

The 6-hour plan adds something the 4-hour can't offer: watching the sunset from the sea. You sail further, have more time at each stop, and ending the day with the sunset colours over the Mediterranean is, without exaggeration, one of those moments that stick with you.

Full day (8 hours) — With Tabarca included

Time slot: 11:00–19:00

This is the premium option. You sail to Tabarca Island, stop for snorkelling in the marine reserve, have lunch at an island restaurant (we handle the booking) and cruise back with a stop in a cove. A complete day with nothing missing.

Sunset (2 hours) — Quick but intense

Time slot: 20:00–22:00

For groups who want a nautical aperitif before dinner. Two hours sailing while the sun sets, with open bar and paddle surf. Perfect if you already have other plans for the day and want a special touch. If the bachelorette falls in June, we also organise private trips to watch the Hogueras fireworks from the sea.

What the boat rental includes

One of the things that most surprises our clients is everything included in the price:

  • Professional skipper — Carlos or Vicente handle everything. You just enjoy. If you want the full picture, we've explained why renting a boat with skipper in Alicante is the best decision
  • Fuel — no extras, no surprises
  • Unlimited open bar — water, Coca-Cola, beer, tinto de verano and ice. For the whole trip
  • Paddle surf — the perfect companion for cove stops
  • Snorkelling gear — especially if you go to Tabarca
  • The entire boat for your group — max 12 people, always private

Can you bring your own food, decoration and music? Absolutely. Many groups bring snacks, cakes, garlands, balloons and their bluetooth speaker. Everything is welcome.

How to organise the bachelorette step by step

Organising a bachelorette on a boat is easier than it seems. Here's the step-by-step:

1. Pick the date and count people

The boat has capacity for 12 people max. A group of 8 to 12 is ideal so the per-person budget is very affordable.

2. Book in advance

In high season (June, July, August) weekends fill up fast. Booking 3-4 weeks in advance is the safest bet. The reservation is confirmed with a 50% deposit by bank transfer.

3. Prepare the decoration and snacks

The boat is your canvas. Balloons, banners, bridal veil, personalised T-shirts... anything you can think of. For food, the most practical is to bring cold snacks like a cheese board, fruit and snacks. If you're going to Tabarca with the 8h option, lunch happens at a restaurant.

4. The big day: get to the port

Boarding point: Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, Muelle Poniente 3 (city centre). There's parking right next to it. Arrive 10-15 minutes before departure time.

5. Enjoy

The skipper handles navigation, stops, anchoring... You just have fun.

Frequently asked questions about boat bachelorettes

Can you bring food onboard?

Yes, no problem. The most common is to bring cold snacks, cold cuts, fruit, cakes and any finger food you like. What we do recommend is to avoid things that stain a lot — the boat is made of wood and teak.

Can we play our music?

Of course. Bring a bluetooth speaker and your playlist. It's a key part of the experience.

What if the weather is bad?

If weather conditions don't allow a safe trip, we cancel at no cost and refund 100% of the amount. The call is made by the skipper, always prioritising safety. We also offer optional cancellation insurance for €50 that lets you cancel at any time without losing the deposit.

How many people fit?

Max 12 people. It's a private sailing yacht, not a 40-seat catamaran. That's exactly what makes the experience so special: intimacy, exclusivity and zero crowds.

Can we snorkel?

Yes, we carry snorkelling gear for everyone. It's a favourite activity at cove stops or in Tabarca.

What if someone gets seasick?

We sail on a sailing yacht, which has much less tendency to seasickness than a speedboat or motor launch. Plus, the Alicante coast is very protected and the sea tends to be calm. That said, if someone is very prone to seasickness, a Dramamine pill 30 minutes before boarding solves the problem.
