Renting a sailing boat in June in Alicante in 2026 is the bridge moment of the year: the month opens with calm seas and mild transition temperatures and ends with the event that marks the Costa Blanca's nautical calendar — the Hogueras de San Juan festival from June 20 to 24, with the famous fireworks contest lighting up the bay. If you are thinking of booking the sailing yacht Peggy in June, it is worth knowing what happens each week of the month: availability and atmosphere change a lot between day 1 and day 30.
This guide is not a generic price table or a recap of average weather (you have that in our month-by-month season guide). It is something more concrete: June 2026 week by week, which plan we recommend depending on your date and how to fit the Hogueras into a sailing trip.
June in Alicante: the month that opens high season
June is the bridge month between quiet spring and the buzz of July-August. The sea starts the month around 22 °C and ends close to 24 °C, with long days —the sun does not set before 9:30 pm— and gentle easterly breezes in the afternoon that make sailing especially comfortable. The Costa Blanca is not yet saturated with boats early in the month, so that wide-open-sea atmosphere with half-empty coves is still possible during the first two weeks.
From mid-month onward the picture changes: bachelor and bachelorette parties arrive, outdoor birthdays, the first big company bookings and, above all, the Hogueras. If you want to book for the end of June, do not wait: that stretch has been sold out weeks in advance in previous years.

June 2026 week by week: what fits each date
Week 1 (June 1-7): transition and wide availability
The first weekend of June (Saturday 6 and Sunday 7) tends to be the last with mid-season prices and atmosphere. There is still room for relaxed bachelor/bachelorette parties, family half-day outings or small company trips. Recommended for: groups looking for a first nautical experience without the pressure of a packed calendar. This week is ideal if you decide last minute: we usually find a slot on the Peggy with 7-10 days' notice.
Week 2 (June 8-14): first weekends fill up
From the weekend of June 13-14 the calendar starts to tighten. Bachelor parties from Madrid and Valencia book a month ahead, full-day trips fill on Saturdays, and Sundays stay freer but tend to fill 5-7 days in advance. If this week interests you, the most popular plan is the 8-hour day with a Tabarca stop and restaurant booking arranged by us.
Week 3 (June 15-22): pre-Hogueras and bachelor-party week
By this point of the month the bay is already in summer mode. It is the busiest week for bachelor/bachelorette and corporate trips of the early high season: groups making the most of long days (sun until past 9:30 pm) and 23 °C water before the July price step-up. Saturdays are nearly full three weeks ahead; weekdays still have flexibility for sunset and half-day trips. If you want to round off the day with something on land, the Ocean Race Museum at Muelle 12 in Alicante's port is the natural complement to a day at sea — a walk through the history of the round-the-world sailing race, headquartered here.
Week 4 (June 23-30): Hogueras and end of month
From June 20 to 24 the Hogueras de San Juan are celebrated, Alicante's main festival. The iconic date is the night of June 24: the international fireworks contest launches over Postiguet beach from midnight, and watching it from a sailing yacht anchored 200 m offshore is one of the most photographed experiences of the summer. That night is booked months in advance; if you are interested, message us as early as possible. For the rest of the week —the morning of the 24th, the 25th and the last weekend of the month— there are more flexible options, already in full high-season mode.
Hogueras de San Juan from the boat
On the night of June 24 the Alicante sky fills with fireworks. From the sea, anchored off Postiguet beach with the music of the pyrotechnic contest carrying over the swell, the show is something you cannot experience the same way from land. This is the most booked outing of the entire summer. If you are interested, do not wait: slots typically sell out by May. For all the detail —festival programme, fireworks schedule, what to bring on board and how anchoring is managed that night— we wrote a dedicated guide: Hogueras de San Juan 2026 from the sea in Alicante. To book, see the San Juan night at sea experience.

Recommended plans in June by your situation
Not every trip fits the rhythm of the month. This is what works best in June on board the Peggy (Centurion 61, 19 metres long, up to 12 people):
- Sunset 2h — the lightest option and the favourite in June for couples, small groups or anyone wanting a first taste of the sea. It works especially well in week 3 and on non-Hogueras dates of week 4.
- Half day 4-6h — balance between time at sea, swimming in coves and manageable duration. The most booked plan in weeks 1 and 2.
- Full day 8h with Tabarca — the classic outing. Sail to Tabarca island, swim in crystal water, lunch at a reserved restaurant, easy return in the afternoon. Works perfectly between June 1 and 14; from the 15th onward you should book well in advance. If you want to see all the duration options, the breakdown is in our 2026 boat rental prices in Alicante.
- Full day 11h with sunset return — the most complete plan, designed for groups of 8-12. Tabarca in the morning, coves in the afternoon and sunset close to port before docking. In June book at least 3 weeks ahead.
If you want to know the boat before deciding, all the Peggy specs are on our boat profile.
Real availability for June 2026: when to book
As of today the realistic availability is as follows:
- Week 1 (June 1-7): wide availability, almost every modality free.
- Week 2 (June 8-14): Saturdays with fewer slots, Sundays and weekdays open.
- Week 3 (June 15-22): weekends fill up fast with bachelor/bachelorette parties; weekdays still flexible. Sunset trips are the ones flying.
- Week 4 (June 23-30): the night of the 24th (Hogueras) usually has few or no slots; the rest of the weekend 27-28 is tight but options remain.
Rule of thumb: if you have a specific June date in mind, message us as soon as possible. High season in Alicante runs out of slots fast and many clients confirm 4-6 weeks ahead. Last-minute slots exist, but cannot be guaranteed on Saturdays or holidays.

How to book the Peggy for your June trip
Booking is simple. The fastest way is to message us on WhatsApp at +34 602 21 40 93 with your intended date, number of people and approximate duration. We confirm availability on the spot, explain what each modality includes and lock the date with a 50% deposit by transfer or Bizum; the rest is paid on the day of the trip.
For reference, the Sunset 2-hour trip starts at €350, the 4-hour half-day at €600 and the full 8-hour day (with Tabarca stop and restaurant booking included) at €950. All prices are for the entire group of up to 12 and include skipper (Carlos or Vicente), fuel, open bar with water, soft drinks, beer and tinto de verano, paddle surf and snorkel kits. Got a clear June date? Better tell us as early as you can — especially if it falls around Hogueras. The difference between confirming in May and confirming the week of the trip is huge in this month.
